Running... Again?

Image
If you know me you know there was a time about 10 years ago or so where I was running. A lot. At least 5 days a week and at least 5 miles a run. I wasn’t training, I wasn’t preparing for a race or a marathon. I just found myself enjoying the time spent running. I wasn’t obsessed with numbers, but I kept track of them all and liked seeing improvements in time and distances. It was good physical health and mental health. Then I tweaked my knee. Not bad enough that I couldn’t walk on it, just a tweak that told me I needed to back off of running for a little bit. So I decided on 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks I aborted a run very early as the pain was still there. 2 weeks became 3, became a month, became 5 years.

Weekly Photo Projects, Week 48

Week 48: Symmetry
Where is everyone?
First thing's first, if you're looking for some editing tools checkout my earlier post about the Topaz Labs collection and their sale good through today (Monday 12/2).

For week 48 our theme for my black and white theme was symmetry. I went looking for symmetry in nature but wasn't finding anything that caught my eye. So how about a seemingly empty and abandoned section of highway? That works for me. So where was everyone? The shot was taken on Black Friday, which in America draws the multitudes to malls and shopping centers. The shot kind of has a Walking Dead feel to it, which I like.

Week 48: Flower/Plant
Not the berries you're looking for
The theme for +Weekly Photo Project 2013 was plants or flowers, not a real interesting theme when we're in the thick of winter. But I did come across these berries that at least make for a colorful photo.
