Running... Again?

Image
If you know me you know there was a time about 10 years ago or so where I was running. A lot. At least 5 days a week and at least 5 miles a run. I wasn’t training, I wasn’t preparing for a race or a marathon. I just found myself enjoying the time spent running. I wasn’t obsessed with numbers, but I kept track of them all and liked seeing improvements in time and distances. It was good physical health and mental health. Then I tweaked my knee. Not bad enough that I couldn’t walk on it, just a tweak that told me I needed to back off of running for a little bit. So I decided on 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks I aborted a run very early as the pain was still there. 2 weeks became 3, became a month, became 5 years.

Second watch of the day. Living this new @bartonbands racing strap on the "Other Moon Watch"

Meet The Collection, Version 2

Image
Version 2 of the collection was finalized today when I took delivery of my Mido Ocean Star Titanium. This is the last planned purchase of 2020 (I'm on the fence about another watch, but it can wait until 2021) and as such it takes my collection to what I think is a solid well rounded collection, if a little Swatch Group heavy. But before we get to version 2.0 we have to meet 1.0.  Version 1.0

He might not be the new watch in the box, but he still gets me like 😍

The last watch of 2020, the Mido Ocean Star Titanium. After a rough period with my Orient Mako II I've been hesitant about dive watches. I knew they weren't my favorite style, but I like them. So I wanted to get a couple things with my dive watch. Titanium was a must. Orange accent colors were also a must. Beyond that it's got sapphire and solid endlinks, both steps up from the Mako II. My hope for this watch is it will be "the drive watch" for the foreseeable future. So far, I'm impressed. 🤩
