Week 13: Playing With Light
Shadow and Light
For +Weekly Photo Project 2013 our theme was Playing With Light. I had a couple ideas on the theme, but when I got to shooting them they just didn't work out. So due to it being the last minute I had to find something in the archive. I liked this shot in black and white better, but it turned out ok.

Week 13: Look Up
The King of Trees
I had better luck with the +Project 52 B&W theme of Look Up. A giant redwood in the middle of a ring of redwoods.

Dad, in his throne A week ago my dad died, succumbing to a fast and aggressive cancer located in his neck diagnosed in May. He was 78 and passed peacefully at home. Dad wasn't a talker, a trait jokingly (honestly?) said to be passed on to other Harley men, which made growing up with him trying. He wasn't the hands on teacher type, I think he just expected me to know how to do things or how to behave. But, when you misbehaved you could be assured of him letting you know about it.
