Monochrome Monday

A first post to the #MonochromeMonday tag. It might not be Monday yet, but if I don't post now it might not get posted. I'm getting to a point in my photography where I'm realizing all future trips might just revolve around if there are waterfalls close by. This is a local shot, which I was surprised to stumble upon. I'm also enjoying shooting square. Enjoy.

A decent, but VERY processed shot **Disclaimer: Today's post is kind of long.** I recently decided to try my hand at a competition I saw on Google+, the +10000 PHOTOGRAPHERS 1st Contest - Natural Water Photos  being put on by  +10000 PHOTOGRAPHERS . There's no tangible prize except notoriety on what some think is a ghost town  social network. Monday, as just about everyone knows, Apple gave a peek at a couple of its updates in the operating systems arena, both mobile and desktop. Most people knew what to expect in the first half, OS X Lion is coming in July. And although I knew what most of the updated stuff was going to be I still found myself wanting to update right then and there. I mean why wouldn't you? It's $30, and I don't have to run down to a store to get it. Actually, I couldn't if I wanted to, but that's another story. But it's the second half of the presentation that was more, interesting, if you're an iOS person.

HDR Waterfalls

It should be no surprise that I took some bracket shots of the waterfalls from the other day. I'm not so happy with the HDR shots as I was with the normal shots, which for me is a little strange, but I think the blame goes on me, I rushed the shots. Note to self, and other photographers, don't go to a shoot with someone who's not a photographer, you'll end up feeling rushed even if they're in the car chatting happily on the phone oblivious to your shooting.
